Ralph Nader is correct about banning "corporate personhood"

But fuck him anyway... Alito and Roberts would be working in some lower court right now if it weren't for his "Bush and Gore are Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee" bullshit in 2000.

If January 21, 2010 didn't convince Ralph that the world would be a different place had Gore been choosing those judgeships instead of Bush, nothing ever will.

You're right about Corporate Personhood, Ralph. But we're in this situation largely because of your own myopia in 2000.

1. I hate Nader too
But to be fair, Scalito and Roberts were nominated after the 2004 election, which Nader did not effect at all. There were no appointments in the first Bush Administration.

2. What are the chances Bush would have been president after 2004 if Gore had become president in 2000?
Just a thought.

5. Nader convinced a sizeable chunk of America that Bush and Gore were exactly the same

Bush won Florida by 500 votes... Nader got 50,000 votes in Florida.

Bush won New Hampshire by 2000 votes... Nader got 10,000 votes in New Hampshire.

...and besides the Nader votes, how many people did Nader convince to vote for Bush - since Gore was "no different"?

8. It wouldn't have been close enough to BE stolen without Nader
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 11:43 PM by scheming daemons
They were only able to steal it because of the narrow margin.

If Gore was ahead by 50,000 votes in Florida, there would've been no way to steal it.

15. You're dense. The SCOTUS wouldn't have had the OPPORTUNITY to become involved
...if it weren't for 50,000 votes going to Nader in Florida instead of Gore (where most of them would've gone if Nader wasn't running).

The SCOTUS would have been OUT OF THE LOOP.

17. 300,000 "Democrats" voted for W Bush in FLORIDA.....
600 ILLEGAL military ballots were counted for Bush in FLORIDA

Tens of thousands of other votes went to OTHER third party candidates . . .

The election was stolen ... and the final play was by the Gang of 5 --

3. Absolutely . . . and Nader's only been saying that for ... 20/30 years--!!!!!
Meanwhile, you're very confused if you think Nader had anything to do with W taking

the Oval Office in 2000 --

FIRST, Gore actually, including in Florida --

the election was stolem --

SECOND, 300,000 "Democrats" in Florida voted for Bush --

what did Bush "win" by -- 537 votes???

THIRD -- 600 ILLEGAL military ballots were counted for Bush in Florida --

FOURTH -- the GOP-sponsored fascist rally stopped the vote counting in Miami-Dade County

without any police interference though they were violently banging on doors, etal.

The recounting was mandated by the Florida State Supreme Court!

FIFTH -- The Supreme Court Gang of 5 put W in the Oval Office --

And 2004 was stolen, as well ---

13. Corporate = GOP
Some Democrats being bought off doesn't change the equation one damned bit. This is about permanent GOP rule and no more Democratic Party.
