Illinois primary is today! Get out and vote please if you live in Illinois.

I voted at 2pm in the afternoon. Weather was crappy but not so bad as to stop people from voting.

Lotsa people are still working at 2pm so I din't expect much of a crowd. I was kinda wrong. The place was buzzing with activity and plenty of voters were coming and going.

Turnout looked solid, at least IMO.

The Polls are still open. GO vote please!

Edit: BTW I live in the 10th Cong district. Kirk's old seat.

1. Not at my polling station
Voted at noon -- according to election judges, only 100 out of 1400 registered voters there had cast a ballot by that time. That's about 7% turnout. Hopefully, people will stop by after work.

3. Was weather a factor where you're at?
It snowed fairly hard here this morning so I could sure understand why polling would be slow in bad weather. I'm refering to where I live though.

Was weather a factor?

4. Not really, I'm dead downtown Chicago ...
You don't even have to get in your car. The polling place for our precinct is a large union hall (IBEW) that is no more than a few blocks from anyone's residence. It was snowing a bit this morning but had cleared up by 11 or so. And it's pretty balmy out, comparatively speaking. We stopped at the new French Market at Ogilvie Station for lunch afterward, and it was jam-packed.
