How come we didn't hear about Murtha's funeral

CSPAN ran a piece about John Murtha's funeral. I am so sick this is all we got. For 6 weeks and even now the MSM ran pieces about Michael Jackson's death, his funeral, the sobbing crowds. BUT we have a war hero who worked most of his political career to help other Veterans and he doesn't even deserve something about his funeral.

1. I heard things about it, who was there, etc. You don't know if the family wanted

things to be low-key or not.

It is very unusual for things to be this low-key without a request from the family.

I ain't surprised. Hell, the "liberal media" has done a whole lotta un-liberal stuff lately.

But did Murtha's death draw as many sobbing crowds (worldwide, not just in the US) and new revelations that Jackson's death did? I doubt it (unless the media is covering stuff up, haha).

And the funeral is in Johnstown, PA which I bet any MSM would consider not worth the effort especially with the crappy snowy weather the area has experienced. Local Pittsburgh and Johnstown has been covering.

Pelosi spoke for the Congressional delegation. The service was brief but very moving. They usually rebroadcast during the day.

I agree that Murtha deserves coverage, but you can't compare his death to Michael Jackson's. Worldwide superstar drops dead suddenly at age 50, vs. 77 year old Congressman dying? The news is all about ratings.
