9pm PST

Whistleblower Brooksley Born tried to warn us in the 90's of the coming economic meltdown.
Greenspan's love of Ayn Rand too.

6. HOLY SHIT I'M SMARTER THAN GREENSPAN!
Edited on Wed Feb-17-10 01:00 AM by upi402
I knew all along his paradigm was unsound, that corporatism would ruin America. Alan Greenspan figured it out in 2008 AFTER the shit hit.

well yay for me already
what do i fucking win...

We need an opposition party immediately

9. About time someone is publicly bringing this up.
Why the hell SHE isn't in Larry "women can't do math" Summers position, I've not a clue. (other than maybe she's retired and doesn't feel like fighting the arrogance anymore)

I saw a WP article on this a while back but not a whole lot else.

11. I love Netflix's instant queue
I just got my BD player hooked up to receive Netflix off my router. Great quality (not HD but better than I expected). If you want to stop, you just resume where you left off whenever you get back to it, even a week later.

15. I can waste so much time in the queue.
Their selection changes, so you have to be quick. I'm waiting impatiently for them to load the next episode of Seeker of Truth. I'm still chained to the computer, though. Have to figure out how to get a wireless TV monitor or something like that.

16. If you're tinking about buying a Blue Ray player, get one that's
Netflix ready. I know not everybody can afford one right now, but Samsung has a player for about $150 that's Netflix ready. Unfortunately you have to fork out another $60-$80 for the wireless adapter that's not included.

However, it's worth it to watch on the TV.

17. I don't have a TV.
My house does not have a cable hookup. I'm rural, about six miles from the closest town. I get all of my entertainment through the Internet. I'd like to be able to send the signal from the Internet DSL modem to a monitor of some kind, skip the computer altogether.

13. If any one person is to blame its Greenspan.. He misread it entirely.
Wall Street cannot self-regulate. He admits it now but its too late.

14. I will never fully trust the Obama
Administration as long as Geithner and Summers remain.

Now in 2010 the consensus should be that an unregulated market is a failure. Why do these stalwarts of deregulation remain in positions of such influence? I think this is a reasonable question.
