If you've never seen the movie "The Man from Earth", I highly recommend it

It's been years since I watched a movie that made me think... I mean REALLY think... as much as this one has.

Basic synopsis:

The plot focuses on John Oldman, a departing teacher at a small university who claims to be a Cro-Magnon (or Magdalenian caveman) who has somehow survived for over 14,000 years. The only setting is in and around Oldman's house during his farewell party, with the plot advancing through intellectual arguments between Oldman and his fellow faculty.

Whether you're an atheist or a christian, an agnostic or an evangelist..... this movie will challenge your world views.

And it has a hell of a twist at the end....

I'll definitely take a look at it in the next few weeks when I'm in the mood for it.

I didn't realize you had posted your comment until afterwards, because I went to MY DU to edit the prior post inside the one hour editing window.

Oh, well, now the point is driven home: If you have Netflix, you can watching this online any time, day or night. I have found Netflix to be very reasonable and beneficial, far cheaper than video stores and a lot less hassle.

4. I'll have to give it another look. Wasn't really "watching" it the first time.
Netflix streaming is great.

HARRY: Edith, I was raised on the Torah, my wife on the Qu'Ran, my eldest son is an Atheist, my youngest is a scientologist, my daughter is studying Hinduism, I imagine there is room there for a holy war in my living room, but we practice live and let live.
