James O'Keefe: Ass Clown and White Supremacist?

It keeps getting worse for political activist (and pride of the St. Louis Tea Party) James O'Keefe.

Last week he was arrested for illegally attempting to access the phone lines of Lousiana Senator Mary Landrieu. Over the weekend Daily RFT voters elected him Ass Clown of the Week. Now today, Salon has a scathing article linking O'Keefe to white nationalists.

Yeah, we know. Hard to believe that a man who dressed himself as a pimp in order to target the predominately African-American organization ACORN would stoop so low.

Salon's coverage plays off photos revealed last week that show O'Keefe in attendance at a 2006 "Race and Conservatism" conference that featured some of the nation's leading white supremacists. O'Keefe reportedly maintained a literature table at the conference with journals for sale that espousing that blacks and Latinos are inferior to whites.

It doesn't end there. Salon writes that the 25-year-old O'Keefe was known as something of a bigot during his days at Rutgers University -- allegedly getting into trouble for complaining about having to live with a gay roommate, an "Indian midget" and "niggers."

After college O'Keefe got a job working for the politically conservative Leadership Institute but was let go in 2008 after he placed a prank call to Planned Parenthood.
