At any rate, for decades now the system has been working the way the pirates have wanted it to, shoveling more and more money into their treasure chests, taking more and more money out of the wallets of the rest of us, forcing us to keep going by borrowing money from the pirates at rates and on terms that are in fact other acts of piracy.

“Fixing” the system under rules set by pirates isn’t simply dumb, it’s nearly impossible.

Sadly, it's becoming more and more apparent that Obama is an establishment guy with establishment thinking. He's trying (I think honestly) to fix things at the margins when what we really need is to overthrow the system of big business, big money and bought-and-paid-for Congressmen. This is the final triumph of Reaganism: where even the Democrats at the highest ranks of leadership think the only way to succeed is to act like Republicans.

I want my country back.

My Democrats sucks less than your Republican. It is sad but the truth. I feel fortunate enough that here in Ohio we have Senator Sherrod Brown and US Representative Betty Sutton. Both are doing an outstanding job, they are just in the minority.
