Feds Charge Med Pot Grower with Posession and Intent to Distribute.......
http://www.denverpost.com/ci_14410914

"Chris Bartkowicz faces one charge of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

If convicted, the charges carry prison terms of five to 40 years.

Federal investigators say Bartkowicz had 224 plants in various stages of development at his Highlands Ranch home...

State law allows caregivers to have six marijuana plants per patient. The law says people who have more can show "that such greater amounts were medically necessary to address the patient's debilitating medical condition.""

Anyone out there know what the specific criteria are that allows having more plants in CO? I'm just hoping this guy had all his ducks in a row before he went on TV and bragged about his crop.

1. There are no specific criteria for greater plant counts
Although a doctor can recommend more than six, nobody really knows if it's really legal or not. It's driving everyone crazy (or so I've heard).

Anyone who has grown before knows that 6 plants can't support 3 mature plants in perpetual grows. At a minimum you need one mother plant, at least 3 clones rooting and 3 plants vegging. That's 10 plants minimum to support 3 mature plants. It's setting up every legal grower as a criminal before they even begin.

Full Federal legalization is the answer. No other farming industry has plant limits, it's just insane.
