Hey FL DUers -- whats the story with the Senate race?

Is it true that Crist is getting freepered out in the primaries? If so who is the Dem going against Rubio, do we have a good candidate there?

1. yes, crist seems to be on the outs and mario on the ins.

rep. kendrick meek is the dem running for this seat vacated by mel martinez. don't know enough about kendrick and i am hoping not to find any skeletons in his closet. i believe he foregoing pac and corporate money.

3. How nutty is this Rubio??

The Freepers seem quite gaga, although they were the same about Scott Brown and he is not really a freeper type. In other words, do they just hate Crist or like Rubio?

4. Rubio has a big lead

The latest poll I saw today has him up 18 %. I think Crist would drop out, but the GOP candidate for governor McCollum won't step aside.

So far, the consensus seems to be that Meek and Alex Sink (the Dem candidate for governor) haven't run a great campaign. While there's still time for the campaigns to get on track, Rubio would remain a slight favorite to hold the seat.
