Honking protest targets Rep. Giffords, affects midtown traffic
Source: Arizona Daily Star. Tucson, AZ

Midtown drivers should avoid the area around East Pima Street and North Swan, where traffic is heavily congested due to a demonstration at U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' office.

Critics of the proposed health care reform bill are holding a honk-a-thon, circling the office sounding their vehicle horns, which is disrupting the flow of traffic significantly.

Other demonstrators are walking the sidewalk outside the office waving signs.

The demonstration is scheduled to last until 1 p.m.

6. How about taking down the honkers' license plates and report 'em for disturbing the peace?
Or do these teabaggers have a honking permit?

9. Several years ago, at an anti-Bush/anti-Iraq war rally in Los Angeles...
...the police were pulling over and ticketing passing motorists who honked in support of the protesters. They were not disrupting traffic by driving repeatedly around the block while constantly honking their horns, it was just a coupla beeps as they passed by, and they were being pulled over and ticketed in large numbers. I had never seen that done before. I guess the teabaggers get a pass, though.
