No 'industry' at all is like the 'health care industry'.
Health care is the ultimate monopoly.

The science and practice of providing your own health care is nearly impossible. You
cannot perform your own blood tests or take yourself to the ER and fix yourself up
when you were just in a head on collision.

And we all gladly pay for the expertise of doctors, nurses, and hospitals.

This is where the predators come into play... And our government is a willing partner.
They allow 'middlemen leeches' to take your money and pay the doctors. And they charge you
a 'premium' to be the middlemen.

But there is a very sinister, barbaric, and evil thing that happens with these leeches.
They purposefully and deliberately force people to go bankrupt and actually Kill people
so they can make their fortunes.

But our President, our Congress, and our Senators want to continue to allow these killing
psychopaths to continue their 'industry'. You have a President and Congress wanting so desperately to pass
a bill that allows these killing thieves to continue to exist. And they will force us to partake in this evil
industry by making us buy their killing and bankrupting 'product'.

But the ultimate knife in the back, and the ultimate telling of how barbaric our President, our Congress,
and our Senate is - is purposefully not allowing an alternative to this disgusting industry.
No public, humane, civil and moral option. No Medicare for all.

No, they are forcing us to pay a fortune so that they can drink our lifeblood.

When a country, when a government, when a people allow such barbarism, the life and existence
of that country and people will soon be extinguish.

1. it is a unique industry
that has forced this country to show its true colors.
The end stage of capitalism is a form of cannabalism - never more evident that in the healthcare "debate."

"To Serve Man" - is a cookbook.

3. Imagine Child Day Care was like the Health Insurance Industry...
Unregulated with no consequences... And
that Child Molesters were 'allowed; to take care of your
children. And some of your children were Molested.

But there are no rules to stop this...

And the government forces you to continue to take your
child these Child (molestation) Day care centers.

And not provide an alternative...

4. Or, how about a 'energy insurance' industry.
You know - the electricity and natural gas coming into your home...

First, its a monopoly as well... Only one electric line and one pipe comes
into your house.

Now imagine our government allowing an unregulated middlemen between you
and your power company. The middlemen charges you $100/month plus usage
costs to then simply paying the power company.

But year after year, the power insurance middlemen up their 'fees' to $1000/month.

What are you going to do??

(yes not a very good analogy but the point is made)...

5. Well said
I have said for years (since losing job, home, car, life savings when I got sick) that the health care insurance industry were leaches and did not care about us.

The lies and manipulation sicken me

Most drs, nurses and other staff at hospitals do care..as much as they can and keep their jobs and careers.

I have and aunt who is a nurse so I have an inkling of how much they care. I have been through surgeries and am not an easy patient unless they keep me stoned then am quite agreeable..till Im hungry!
They still show compassion and caring.

The insurance folks......none except the small newbies.

7. So when people rec but not comment...
Is it a case of 'sounds right and we will just let the government do this to us'?

I'm really mad that our country is falling apart and we are doing nothing to
stop it.

It's nothing but insanity...

8. The Health Insurance Cartel:
An Industry that manufactures NOTHING, and produces NO Wealth (Value Added)....completely and totally parasitic.
THIS is the "Industry" that the Democratic Party wants to enshrine as the Gateway to Health Care in the USA.

To fully appreciate how badly we have been fucked, simply compare the current "Reform Bill" to waht is taken for granted in every other civilized country in The WORLD!

The only RIGHTS advanced in the Democratic Reform Plan
is the RIGHT to MANDATED PROFITS for Health Insurance Corporations.

"A uniquely American Solution."....indeed.
How pathetic.

11. Well, I can't let this go unanswered...
Please note that the republican party has NEVER wanted to address health care AT ALL...

And no republican did ANYTHING to make this bill better or even vote to want to do something about heath care.
