NPR (March 16): Maryland PR Firm Runs For Congress
Murry Hill Inc was on NPR's "All Things Considered" today. I've read about this candidate here on DU, but I didn't realize they were running in MD's 8th congressional district. I may switch my registration to R (Gasp!) so I can vote for them in the primary. Give it a listen, it's only 4 minutes (sorry no transcript):

1. You want to be very careful about switching your registration
even if it is to make a mess with them.

If you intend to run for office or involved as a delegate or other activity you may be prevented depending on party rules or state law.

2. Yes, thank you for pointing that out.
I don't ever intend to run for office (but who knows what the future may bring?), but I've been a Democrat all my life. I'd be a really hard thing to actually do.

Still, it's fun to imagine. Van Hollen won't have a primary challenger (at least not that I know of), so it's not like my vote would be missed in the Democratic primary.

But give this guy a listen. It's absurd, funny, and scary all at the same time.

4. Maybe that's why their voter registration was denied.
According to the interview, Murry Hill Inc is appealing that decision.
