FACT: Tripiling the number of CHC's WILL.....WILL control health care cost .....
....only if people decide to go to the facilities.

I was luke warm on the bill till I saw the CHC's in my area and it's not a worn down facility with a bunch of poor medicare folk.

If there was one built closer to me (vs 15 miles away) I think I would use it more often seeing the low cost of services.

P.S. if you don't know what a CHC is and your a Kill Biller(mine) then you might be wanna take a look and see where one is on your local map

Your take?

TIA

1. There is a Community Health Center in my town
And I know several people who get decent health care there. I have considered using it when I was between primary care doctors. My own brother gets his health care there, and has a primary care doctor there.

3. I will be using one because of my costly dental insurance doesn't like to pay out on pre-approved
...claims.

The line item the doctor and deny the who claim and has done it twice already...

The insurance companies suck

4. By that justification, the wars against the Middle East are a positive because it gives all
our military and mercenary killers employment.

Even though my 23-year old daughter would be able to be covered on our policy for a few more years (whenever that kicks in) instead of having no coverage currently, I still think it is a disaster, both from a actual healthcare perspective and from the political fallout that will sink the Democratic Party come November.

And I want it to fail. It's called not being selfish and wanting the greater good.

6. So long as they don't have a bunch of "bunch of poor medicare folk" there you will use it?
Oh, and by the way move one closer to my house too?

This is unbelievable.

What does a "bunch of poor medicare folk" look like if you don't mind me asking?

7. There's a very good one here in Durham
Edited on Wed Mar-17-10 10:59 AM by supernova
There's also one in Carrboro, which I don't know much about but will investigate.

edit: These places do routine care; more complex problems get referred to Duke or Carolina. With HCR, these people who get referred up to the teaching hospitals will be in a better position to not go into debt over their care.

When I worked at Duke, I HATED fighting with the ins cos over cancer treatment for some poor soul who used to work in the lunch room or work the floor at Liggett&Myers.
