NH GOP consultant calls Obama "dictator"
Former Manchester mayor Frank Guinta is running for the GOP nomination to oppose Carol Shea-Porter this fall. Recently, Guinta hired a guy named Andrew Manuse as a consultant to help with media production and event management.

Let's take a look at Mr. Manuse's track record:

* Member of the Randian "Free State Project".

* Used his position as a city hall reporter to smear political opponents.

* Said that new laws only apply to members of Congress and state legislatures and called for "nullification" of health care reform.

* Posted on Facebook that "comparisons between Obama and Hitler are not exaggerated".

* Stated that President Obama is "a dictator in the making".

The sad part is that Guinta was once known as a relatively moderate Republican. It's a damning indictment of the Republican Party that he feels a need to pay cranks like Manuse in order to keep the mad tea party mollified.

1. In other news Nazis say Jews are serial propagandists bent on taking over the world.
Nothing really changes, does it?

3. Where do they get that "dictator" crap from?
Hell he's more rightwing than we could ever have imagined. He's always worried about being bi-partisan something he should just forget about altogether. He will never satisfy those rightwing nutjobs so why is he turning his back on us and catoring to THEM? :grr:

6. Remember the iraq war talking point... the only "reason" for invasion that
wasn't debunked was that "We had to remove the dictator Saddam Hussein."

I think there's more to the term "dictator" than meets the eye in that idiot's language.

7. In fairness to Manuse (and it kills me to say this)
He didn't support the Iraq War, though he did so for the wrong reasons. He's a Ron Paul-style hard line isolationist who reflexively opposes American influence anywhere for any reason.

8. It just came to me I know where the got the name of this disorganization
and scatterbrained group. Tea Party...Glen Beck was reading Alice in Wonderland and thought it would be a terrif idea. We could have him as the Mad Hatter, cause he is and Palin as the Red Queen preaching her hate and violence, use gun sites instead of "off with their heads",and they all run around the table screaming about the tepid tea.

10. The sad part?
The candidate himself, Frank Guinta, was usually a fairly moderate Republican. I served with him in the legislature, and was an alderman while he was mayor. He was always pretty good on environmental issues, tolerant on social issues, married to a Democratic-leaning independent

Unfortunately, he has decided to throw all that aside and pander to the screechy right. The death of moderate Republicanism isn't a good thing in my book.
