What is Arizona's largest export?
Edited on Tue Apr-27-10 04:48 PM by Winterblues
I know they are big into artichokes, but are there other things that could be boycotted?

Frankly, the ag in that state isn't much, anyway. I think they have a few industries, but by far the biggest is tourism.

Since Mexico has issued a travel advisory telling its wealthier citizens to spend their shopping money elsewhere, Arizona is going to take a hit.

5. Some interesting googling...
http://www.trade.gov/td/industry/otea/state_reports/arizona.html

"Arizona's export shipments of merchandise in 2009 totaled $14.0 billion.

The state's largest market was Mexico. Arizona posted exports of $4.5 billion to Mexico, close to one-third (32 percent) of the state's total export shipments in 2009. Mexico was followed by Canada ($1.7 billion), China ($822 million), the United Kingdom ($601 million), and Germany ($587 million).

The state's leading export category is computers and electronic products, which alone accounted for nearly one-third (31 percent), or $4.3 billion, of Arizona's total merchandise exports in 2009. Other top manufactured exports that year were transportation equipment ($2.5 billion); machinery manufactures ($1.3 billion); and fabricated metal products ($954 million)."

Boy would that be interesting if Mexico told Jim Crow state to fuck off.
