McCain Approval Sinks in Arizona

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Arizona finds Sen. John McCain's approval plummeting -- "a Charlie Crist-like drop "-- to just 34% with 55% disapproving.

2. He's a maverick.
If he loses to Hayworth in the primaries, let him run as an independent like his buddy, Joe Lieberman, did.

6. Tha'd be great!
Probably the only way a Democrat wins that seat too. If he can't win (and he can't) then he can at least play spoiler to Hayworth.

7. Not Really
It might be easy to celebrate another McCain loss but chances are very, very good that he'd only be replaced by a more conservative Republicant.

5. He's Done
By trying to please both half-way sane conservative moderates and the truly fucking mental tea baggers he's compromised himself so much that even the usually unaware voting masses have begun to realize he smells rotten. Liberals (even those like myself who used to respect McCain even if we disagreed with him) have realize he'll say anything to get votes and the AZ Republican base still blames him for the 2008 White House loss. He's done.

9. What's the Matter With Arizona?
If John McCain is dropping in approval in Arizona, it is not because there is something wrong with John McCain. There has to be something wrong with Arizona.

took the wrong one.

It's the teabaggers who are responsible for Crist's dropping in the polls..who's responsible for mccain's nosedive?

26. Who are Dems running against McCain in AZ? I really think we have an opportunity in AZ
in both governor and senate race. Especially if we can mobilize a huge turnout among latino voters upset with the new law.

30. McCain is a jerk, Hayworth is a Terror
I live here in Arizona and of the two, I would rather see McCain back in than Hayworth, but Glassman is my choice. If we can get the support for Glassman then we can probably defeat Hayworth better than we can beat McCain but the thing is if we don't defeat Hayworth then you will have a Russell Pearce (the guy who gave us SB1070) in Washington DC.

So the question is can we take a chance of Glassman getting the support and pull for Hayworth over McCain? Honestly, I know the Democratic Party here in Arizona is going to focus on getting Goddard in office because that is important to stopping Pearce and his goons, but if Glassman can get the support to win then I would want Hayworth over McCain. If we can't get enough support for Glassman then I have to hope McCain overcomes Hayworth. The real question is how much support Glassman can count on from the progressive community.

33. Guess I am going to have to post my research but
I bet it won't stay visible long. I am in the process of doing an investigate on Pearce and his gang of thugs right now and the more I find out the more scarey it is. I am trying to hold off on putting it out in too much detail right now because it is not complete enough, but check out FAIR and the Patriot Fund for more. Also you can check into J.T. Ready one of Pearce's big allies to see who this moron is. Pearce is also a Mormon in a heavy Morman community with plenty of mega church influence.
