How dare they expect their pensions & government services:grr:

I wonder how Joe would have felt if when his baby had been born, he would have found out that his insurance was not valid and HE was going to have to pay the tens of thousands of dollars a day spent to keep his baby alive..or if MSNBC told him they were broke, and would have to cut his pay...

That's the equivalent of what's happening to the Greek people and the Spaniards & the Irish & the Icelanders and to many people right here.,.

People who played by the rules, saved, put money into their only retirement options..and then either lost jobs or lost their money..or both.. and the people who stole it, got huge bonuses and a "stern talkin' to"..

In European countries, the "deal" they have is this.. they pay HIGH taxes, in exchange for SERVICES.. When they stop getting the services and still are expected to pay those high taxes or perhaps even higher taxes for fewer services, you BET they are pissed enough to "misbehave"..

people take to the streets to KEEP what they have. This is the problem we have here.. We are so fractured and we get services from so many "private" venues, we don't take to the streets like they do. It;s hard to get people fired up and ready to protest en masse so people they don't know, who live all over the place, can have a CHANCE to get something vaguely defined, at some future date.

But if someone tries to take something away that you already have, all bets are off..

5. no, because it was "private" investment
and they were set up to give wallstreet a 30-40 yr "run" to gamble the money, before boomers started wanting to draw it out.

there had to come a reckoning, but I think they thought (like all chronic gamblers) that they would be able to "cover" their losses in time..
