Isn't DU curiously quiet about the November elections?
Democrats haven't lost anything yet, and we have so much to lose if the pukes win too big.

Where is the sense of urgency here people? If we get our asses kicked I'm going to be even more disgusted with this place.

I know. I know. That's a really big threat. But WTF? We're going to have to live with more Republicans having a bigger say in our lives. That's the real threat here.

When are DUers going to rise up and make sure this doesn't work out for them?

1. I know several people who are on DU who post about the elections and
are working hard for Dems (usually on DU-presidency). On the other hand I think there are some DUers who are not actually democrats who wouldn't care less if the Dems lose in November.

2. Maybe because it's only April? And I'm not convinced it's going
to be the wipe out pundits like to predict with amazing regularity.

3. I agree. Already polls have been reflecting a mild swing away from GOP
We also have opportunities in some Senate seats currently held by the GOP like: Ohio, Florida, Missouri, Arizona (especially if McCain loses the primary) and North Carolina.

4. Last I checked, it was April.
Don't worry. DU will enter Full Election Mode soon enough.

6. When those activist supporters feel it's safe to start posting here again. Many were driven away
by all the pissing and moaning and vitriol.

7. I think the discussions we're having culminate in November
We're mapping out issues and positions and once the campaigns begin in earnest we will see which candidates measure up and throw them our support/efforts.

Although I agree we have much to lose (I personally believe the GOP will do anything to stop our president including fabricate charges of impeachment) worrying too much is not nearly as helpful as advancing the best agenda we can.

8. Haven't you heard?
Progressives don't think we are being governed far enough left, so they don't care if us Democrats lose in November. It will teach us some lesson in their minds. Despite the fact that IF we lose big in November, it will be because the country thinks we have gone too far left.

9. I too think the political agenda isn't progressive
But that doesn't mean I want to saddle Obama with a bunch of raging TPers. I think they would do worse than just spit on him.

10. Of course, and this is what bothers me.
How do we jolt people out of their insanity?
