9. Remember when Stossel used to eat bugs on 20/20?
Some sort of Special Forces training boot camp?

Then the bugs all got together and banished him for cannibalism, and that's how he ended up on Fox?

2. Because you know...being "conservative" they're fiscal experts.
Edited on Tue May-04-10 03:37 PM by YOY
And they have the track record to show it! :sarcasm:

I've actually heard Stephen Baldwin (aka Stevie B) make the claim that now he was a conservative Republican he would be better at finances.

5. Baldwin said he'd be better at finances
now that he's a "conservative republican"? People don't get much dumber than Stephen Baldwin, Lenny Dykstra maybe but nobody else.

Did you hear that his manager is begging for people to send cash to poor Stevie B so he can live up to the lifestyle that he needs to keep? I'm serious, he did that.

7. It was a quip from a commercial for "The Celebrity Apprentice"
A show I'd rather shave my eyeballs with glass than watch.

I don't know if he said finance or business...but it was a fecking riot.

3. Yeah. We got that a few months back. Both that and Faux News in HD.
:wtf:

At least MSNBC is finally in HD so that I can watch 40 hours of prison shows on the weekend.

4. Do what *I* do ...
put those channels on parental lock; and give it a real combination number (not 0000 or 1234).

Works great for me.

8. Better yet has your neighbor come over and put a random code in.
Pay him with a bottle of scotch a year if he never tells you the code. It don't get much safer than a Glenfidich bribe.

13. Did the same thing with FNC.

While I had no problem with the kid being exposed to adult concepts and even Rightist opinions, but with FNC pretending to be a genuine news source, I feared he was too inexperienced to understand that they were only pretending.

On the flip side, I used to pickup communist propaganda on the shortwave when I was a kid, and wondered why the gov't would always jam it shortly. The propaganda was so blatantly obvious I figured it just made them look worse. But I feel the exact same way about FNC. It *looks* like blatant propaganda. Yet, lots of adult Americans fall for it. So I didn't want to take chances with the kid when he was only 10.

That, and it was bad for my blood pressure. Lying generally pisses me off. Also, I figure the cable company can track the number of homes that put a particular station on parental lock. So I am sending a message.
