Amazed that we haven't had absolute reports of this yet --

but by the time it happens, it will have so penetrated the waters that it will

be impossible to prevent great damage -- !!!

Many fishermen and coastal residents commit suicide or drink/self-medicate themselves to death, there are folks down there who still subsistence fish who will still ingest the seafood, it'll get into the local water supplies and contaminate more people. The eleven men were just the start.

43. It is a terrible beauty, but it is beauty
I went to the coast to enjoy the ocean, the animals, the sun, even the sand. Perhaps the next generation will go to enjoy the beauty of fluid dynamics and oil on water. People are adaptable. Mother nature is adaptable too. Some things will change, but something will live on.

48. They'll just have to adapt to never swimming
in the ocean, or never eating fish which they'll hear stories about, or seeing Dolphins jumping joyfully in the water. They shouldn't HAVE to adapt to never experiencing the beauty of nature without the interference of human beings who see more beauty in profits than in the planet's natural environment.

33. I just came back from Pass A Grill beach, St. Petersburg FL
I do the beaches each weekend along the coast of Pinellas county, as I sat on a bench today, I couldn't help to think about how it's all gonna change now once the oil hits, and hit it will.

It sickens me to think of how the sand fleas, the fish, dolphins, turtles and birds are gonna start washing up on the sand.

We'll be living with this cesspool for a long, long time.

34. Awful, just awful. This may be a idiot idea but when I was a kid
there was a flood along our river. Many of the fish were trapped after the water receded in shallow ponds. My father would seine them out and return them to the river. Seeing the picture of the dolphins and knowing the turtles that died I am wondering if the best rescue would be to catch them and remove them to another area. Surely there is some safe place they can be settled in.

39. Especially everything beautiful has to be destroyed in the war on nature . . . .
that's beyond question!

And it is patriarchy's war on nature -- and its system of capitalism which delivers the

destruction they seek.

Patriarchy and violence are mirror images of one another --

And patriarchy consciously or unconsciously continues to create a world which mirrors its

own fears, paranoia, ugliness and confusion.

We are not stewards, but for a fist full of dollars, we are destroyers. Though many of us fought this carelessness because of the possibilities of just this, we were yelling into the roar of a, take no prisoners, hurricane of very dark stupidity. We are looking into the jaws of hell. Yes there is a hell; Not the biblical one, but the one made by the greed of the worst scum of mankind.
