UC Riverside students are rather apathetic about politics and Iraq occupation
sold stuff at the pre-mother's day campus art/crafts fair at the University of California, Riverside, a school with 17,000 students.

had 2008 shirts for obama, hillary, edwards, gore, clark, dean, etc plus other political related stuff as well
as my various photography/art projects. There were other sellers there with political things as well.

the students were not interested much, no good talks about dems and the election, or the iraq situation. other sellers
reported the same thing.

of political items just sold several cheney is evil shirts and several hillary mugs.

one older guy who was also selling asked where the bush shirts were, so I pointed to the last bush 2004 shirt (yes I sell the
opposition nearer to elections, generating money from repubs that goes to dems lol). When he asked how much I told him $1000 but he did not want it after all.

I was surprised by the apathy generally displayed. Not even any comments about Obama who is supposedly popular in the college crowd.

1. Bring back the draft and you'll see some motivation.

3. yep, the student population is nothing like the local city population, mostly from
outside of riverside county and from all over california.

4. Maybe if they were on their way for a third tour, they might have more empathy.
