CFL question for you.
Edited on Tue May-08-07 02:59 PM by Goblinmonger
Is there a CFL equivalent for these little babies

I am slowly getting my house to be mostly CFLs and am closing in on my lower level where the kids rooms are. My daughter has three of these in her room.

on edit: or maybe an LCD equivalent

1. You might want to try one of these — I've heard good things about them.

They're expensive, but they last a LONG time.

2. I typed LCD but meant LED
thanks. They don't have the ones with the two bolt looking things on them. I've looked around for them but can't find them.

3. I can't say I've seen those anywhere, either. Best of luck finding them!

5. 3 downs, 110 yard field...
Edited on Tue May-08-07 03:28 PM by SidDithers
lots of motion on both offence and defence, 12 players on the field.

And yes, there did used to be 2 teams called the Rough Riders.

Sid

Edit: The Canadians will get this :)

6. And what's it called when you kickoff out of the endzone?
And is it true you get a point for that?

8. You kick it out of your endzone to avoid a rouge...
which like a safety in the NFL. A missed field goal is a live ball in the CFL, so if you don't want to give up a single point, you can run the ball out of your endzone, or catch it and punt it back out (which usually only happens at the end of the half or the end of the game). Once punted, the ball is still live, and can be recovered by either team.

The offense could very easily recover the ball again, and punt it back downfield. In that respect, the game is more like rugby than football.

7. Some weirdo Americans too.
If the post had been in the energy forum, I would have thought the right thing.

But under general discussion, my mind wandered to cooler climes north of the border. Maybe it's just my longing for football food, brats, etc. that made me think of that. :-)

Where they have spy quarters. Man, THAT story was rich. (The poppy quarter ended up being the spy quarters that were reported on last year.)

9. Nicely done
Didn't even think of that. And I grew up about 60 miles from Winnipeg in North Dakota so I know of the CFL.
