In Iowa, Tea Party Trouble Over Obama Poster
Did anyone else see this in the NYT Caucus blog?It is about an offensive billboard in Mason City, IA, so offensive even the teabaggers wanted it gone.

<snip>

A billboard in the downtown area compared Mr. Obama to Adolph Hitler and Vladimir Lenin, with a message declaring: “Radical Leaders Prey on the Fearful & Naïve.” The sign depicts the three men who are labeled with the words “National Socialism, Democrat Socialism, Marxist Socialism.”

The North Iowa Tea Party purchased the sign, with organizers hoping to spread a critical message about the Obama administration. Instead, the billboard itself became the subject of intense controversy, including among Tea Party activists, some of whom said it was offensive, ineffective and a waste of money.

I couldn't get over the message: Radical leaders prey on the fearful and naive.
Isn't that the teabaggers' means to their end?

2. The question is, which part do the teabaggers consider "offensive"
I have a feeling they're fine with Obama being compared to Lenin and Hitler, but the line “Radical Leaders Prey on the Fearful & Naïve.” hits a little too close to home with a "movement" associated with Glenn BecKKK, Oily Twatz, and DICK Armey (funded by the Koch Brothers)

3. The fearful and naive that are being preyed upon
are the teabaggers themselves, and the predators are not Democrats.

5. I know it's been removed, but the message about the
teabaggers is the news for me, and it's too close to my home state of WI. Heck, my parents were married in Mason City!!!

6. Just imagine IF
One the same side of the road... a bilboard...that says "Tea bags are a bunch of racist, who only disapprove of Obama because he is a Democrat and is black." What do you think the tea bags and the radical republicans who say....all hell would break loose.

7. I'm really offended that they equated Lenin with Obama and Hitler.
