You have got to be fracking kidding me

Daniel Cowart, Skinhead Obama Assassination Plotter, Asks Feds To Pay For Swastika Tattoo Removal

Daniel Cowart, who plead guilty to 8 federal charges, including a plot to assassinate President Barack Obama and over 100 black people, has requested that he be moved to a county jail in Tennessee to undergo tattoo alterations before he is sent to federal prison, reports to The Jackson Sun.

The 21-year-old has a tattoo of an iron cross on his chest, as well as a swastika tattooed on his shoulder and is worried that they will draw the unwanted attention of other inmates while he is incarcerated.

The U.S. Marshals Service has objected to Cowart's request for the cosmetic procedure, arguing that it would set an unwelcome precedent, reports the Sun:

Why would the feds want to spend a cent on trying to keep him alive in prison. OK, he didn't get the death penalty. I can understand that, but that should not stop the feds from throwing him into a cellblock with all black inmates, where he can be, um, you know, dealt with appropriately.

So now he's going to cower because of the 'art.' ;-)

2. Hey, I'm sure that the folks in prison will be glad to remove the tattoos for free.
After all, tattoos are only skin deep. ;-)

7. Because, allowing a prisoner, as you so delicately and
euphemistically put, to be "dealt with appropriately," would most likely involve allowing that person to be beaten. We do have a constitutional right to be protected from cruel and unusual punishment. The satisfaction that many liberals take in seeing people tortured in prison by other prisoners is pretty depressing to me.

12. What you said
Rights must apply to everyone, or they apply to no one. It amazes me that some people allow their emotions to blind them to this fact.

8. He is going to Club Fed which has been on lock down for over 20 years now which means
a 1 man cell, 1 hour a day yard time, alone, 23 hours in the cell with no contact with fellow prisoners. Unlike state prisons, Fed prisons don't have to deal with inmate on inmate crime. At the worst he will slowly go stir crazy and become more anti social. Really people need to stop watching prison movies for information about prisons, they are fantasy and seldom deal with reality of prison life. Now if a prison riot broke out then all bets are off.

14. So he will be subjected to psychological torture then? Disgusting.
That aside, prison life in the U.S. is characterized by brutal treatment between the members of the population and from the guards. It is a well documented fact from Amnesty International & investigative reporting from the BBC and other media outlets that much of U.S. prison life would be classified as torture.

16. Though torture in U.S. prisons is
the norm and not the exception, accepting it, (let alone celebrating it), as a matter of course, is un-American.

13. Isn't it cheaper just to turn the tattoos into something else?
If having the tattoos is life threatening, why not just black them out. Sure it's not esthetically pleasing but I think it eliminates the problem at a much lower cost.

15. If he could just find a way to Switzerland he can live free as a bird...
That said I do not condone prison rape or violence for any inmate and honestly if you think "black inmates" are likely well... :puke:
