"Powering the Future" on Discovery Channel- presented by Shell!

I've been pretty skeptical starting out with watching this series. It seemed...tame, in light of the radical energy crises we're looking at. It has given some good information, though, including info that gives a fairly positive outlook on the use of solar, wind, geothermal, and, yes, nuclear energy to replace oil.

Now I see that one of the show's sponsors is Shell Oil. It does make me wonder what info ISN'T in the show, that should be.

1. i thought it was a good documentary

It clearly shows China is far more forward-thinking than the US in terms of energy policy. when are we ever going to catch up?!

Regarding Shell's sponsorship ... one of the people on the show had some critical comments about the oil industry. it wasn't deleted.

2. I was surprised at how I reacted to that part. It made me really angry

at our ineptness. I yelled out, by myself, "Yeah, that's what WE'RE supposed to be doing!"
