At some point we will not need the military any longer.....
because no one will want to take over this country anyway!

At least we can save $700 Billion a year when that happens.

1. It is not the 700 billion a year. It is the interest we pay on the money we borrow...
Edited on Mon Jul-19-10 01:52 PM by Ozymanithrax
to spend that 700 billion a year that will kill us.

2. But we will need them as long as we're an empire and must 'contain' our 'enemies'. Nobody's
wanted the US for anything in years!

3. We could save most of that money right now
If we only used the US military for its proper purpose. Which is defending the United States of America.

Unfortunately, the last time the military was used for that purpose was August 1945.

4. If the military had to fund wars within its budget
and not via special appropriations, we wouldn't have the debt that we have; and we would not have as many wars going on.
Just sayin.

6. But..but..we have to be protected from the mighty Taliban Navy.
Especially the nuclear powered aircraft carriers now being constructed in the secret caves in Afghanistan.

8. Funny. But such a thing just doesn't happen.
No matter how poor the country. Consider Afghanistan.
