BP photoshops fake photo of crisis command center, posts on main BP site

I guess if you're doing fake crisis response, you might as well fake a photo of the crisis response center. Why do they need a fake photo at all? Don't they have a real crisis response center they could have used?

When I was working at a lab we all had to wear lab coats when the photo crew came through for publicity shots, because if you aren't in a lab coat the public doesn't think you're doing "science". Making an op center look like what people think an op center looks like isn't a mortal sin in my book.

Still, this would have been a good chance for BP to actually bust that myth. "Here's what an op center actually looks like: a dozen really bored and overcaffeinated people surrounded by a few dozen LCDs and a lot of empty Funions bags."

In all seriousness, an astute reader noticed that the meta info for the photo says it was created in 2001, not July 16, 2010 as claimed on BP's site. It looks like BP took a photo from 2001, and in order to make it look like the command center in July of 2010, they pasted pictures of the oil well leaking over the old photo.

I look at the new video of the well being capped. I wonder if it's real.

They've lied about everything so far. This photoshop doesn't shock me a bit.

They're liars and greedmongers. They are trying to appease us now and shut us
up, through any means possible. That includes lies, fake command centers and all
sorts of other tricks.

Tonight, CBS News did a feel good piece about fishermen in the Gulf. These fishermen
were catching all sorts of shellfish and other fish--while declaring that happy days
are here again and the fish are wonderful and oil free--all because BP capped the well.
The story doesn't even make sense.

They're using the media now--to lie even more.

These people are disgusting and revolting--and our politicians know that they are lying
to us and bamboozling us.

...and another thing that bothers me. Where is the MSM? Where
are all of the "journalists" who should have figured out this BP SCAM?
