Creationists hijack lessons and teach schoolkids man and dinosaurs walked together
I'd LOL,if it wasn't so,oh what the hell -

snip

"The scripture teacher told the class that all people were descended from Adam and Eve," he said.

"My daughter rightly pointed out, as I had been teaching her about DNA and science, that 'wouldn't they all be inbred'?

"But the teacher replied that DNA wasn't invented then."

After the parent complained, the girl spent the rest of the year's classes in the library.

4. parents can opt out for their children, but how does
being placed in the school library constitute an educational alternative?

If parents can opt out, would think the more reasonable alternative would be an Evolution class.
But, fundies don't want kids to have the option to think...that would mean less followers or religious conversions :::sigh:::

15. Agreed!

I wonder, if you asked the teacher "Well then, who invented DNA?" what her answer would be?

Bet you it would be Satan.

12. Well, it's not the US. It's Austrailia and the class was Religious Instruction.
Why Australia has religious instruction in public schools is almost as curious as to why they would allow it to be taught by fundy loonies.
