Last night's episode of the long-running Fox reality show Cops profiled the Customs and Border Protection in action at the US/Mexico border near San Diego and the Miami International Airport. You can watch the full episode here. It's an interesting programming choice for Fox as just the previous Wednesday, a federal court struck down Arizona's controversial new law that made it a state crime for immigrants not to carry citizenship documents. That first-run episode of Cops was the most-watched show (3.86 million) of the Saturday 8-8:30 timeslot on top of a presentation of the movie Flightplan on ABC, a rerun of Cold Case on CBS, and a new episode of Persons Unknown on NBC. This episode was a lead-in to a rerun of Cops and a new America's Most Wanted, both of which had higher ratings than the 8PM new episode.
