My 12-year-old daughter summed it up nicely.
We were talking about different presidents, in particular those who have been accused of wrong-doing. I brought up John Adams, Andrew Johnson and a few others. She has, of course, lived her whole sentient life under W and then Obama, so those are her only real points of reference.

She said, "So those guys did stuff that was found unconstitutional years later, while W did stuff that was found unconstitutional years BEFORE."

Pretty bright, my girl.

1. And they walk around free
bush and others need to be brought before a jury and tried for crimes against humanity.

3. Amen.
I'd feel safer walking around on the streets knowing W, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, et al were locked up. They scare me.

5. here's the kicker. we have no standing in dealing with other countries
who are committing war crimes. none. how can we tell another country to hand over their leader to be tried for war crimes when we will not punish our own who have done it. it's ridiculous.

9. That is what the Republicans are unable to comprehend
I honestly don't think they understand blowback. They have weakend the U.S ability to go after anyone in other other countries.

4. They even used the excuse to do some of the illegal things
that it has been done in the past, therefore it's okay...

8. Thanks.
Her father deserves much of the credit, but she and her brother are pretty insightful, I find. They make it easy to be their parents.
