Ya know how the Republicans could walk away with the elections
in 2010 znd 2012?

By running on a platform that incorporates universal health care, green energy solutions, mass public transportation, a guaranteed minimum income for all Americans, solvency for Social Security by eliminating the FICA cap, elimination of No Child Left Untested, nationalization of monopolies and oligopolies in industries necessary to national defense and well-being (oil, communications, power, etc.)...

I mean, Hell, the Democrats aren't using these planks, so SOMEBODY might as well.

1. Yeah, it's not like they have to keep their promises or anything...
Look how badly that's working for Obama.

2. It's easier for them to just buy voting pollsters and steal vote electronically.

They can have their cake and eat it, too, that way.

3. They'd destroy the Democrats with a slight libertarian-right platform
Deficit doves are all the rage right now. Pair that with some Nixonian Anti-war ranting and its a scary combo. Throw it into a populists anti-bailout, anti-handout furvor, it could be game over.

8. Pick up the unions
Unions aren't all that thrilled with the democrats about now. A savy GOP could approach them, under a jobs banner, and try to recreate the "reagan democrats" that were alot of union members, and give the DLC dems one heck of a run for their money.

9. Yep, there is a lot of manuevering these days due to the lack of political foresight
I mean, hell, even teachers could be a demographic in play if a Republican went on a anti-Federalist rant against big government standardized testing.

5. lol
The theater of the absurd may well get a second act as the Democrats betray their base. And as voters refuse to buy into the facade of a democracy. Government has been captured.

6. They will buy this next election
Or I should say their Corporate masters will buy it for them.

Right now we are boycotting Target but what happens when 95% of the Corporations send huge sums of $$ to the Rethugs this next election cycle? You know it's going to happen.

10. Well, sure, but it's always nice to have an actual majority
if you don't have to put yourself out too much in order to get it.
