"Goldline is committing suicide to ensure that the American people will have money in the future"
Edited on Tue Aug-03-10 11:25 AM by Joanne98
Isn’t Goldline and Glenn Beck the greatest people you ever seen/heard?

by The Golden Administrator on August 1, 2010

Glenn Beck constantly talks about the impending inflation of our US dollar to the point of being worthless. He then pauses for a commercial break to pitch Goldline. Now if you don’t know Goldline is a company in which you buy gold/precious metal for US dollars (or credit card/other currency). Usually Glenn Beck states how gold will be the currency of the future when the US dollar can be used for toilet paper.

Now when Goldline sells all this Gold then are going to have a lot of that US dollars. Therefore when the dollar crashes their company will be worthless as its capital will be worthless. Therefore they are doing the greatest service to us American people. They know that the American dollar is going to be worthless (They have Glenn Beck pitch that all the time) and that gold will be currency yet they still sell gold for currency. They are basically committing suicide just to ensure that the American people will have money (gold) in the future". True American heroes Goldline and Glenn Beck are.

2. That's a good point
The CEO of Goldline will have sold all of his VERY PRECIOUS gold for worthless American dollars. Not too smart.

4. Every one of those RW talk shows has some gold company advertiser
They all have different companies, but apparently RW talk radio junkies are suckers for buying precious metals at the top of a bubble.

They also are bald and have misbehaving kids.

5. At least people can see it's stupid when Beck says this.
Hopefully they will be able to see it's stupid when Kunstler says the same thing without the company pitch.

6. Scammers like Goldline have been using this tactic for years.
I've heard one company after another touting how their products will definitely rise in value and the consumer would be crazy not to buy. But if their products are sure to increase in value, why are they selling them? Why doesn't the company hold on to their trinkets, coins or gold until their 'value' is as high as they tout it will be?

I remember realizing that scam since I was a kid. The OP is absolutely right. Goldline is committing suicide by getting rid of their 'treasure' of gold by trading it for 'worthless' paper money. It's not only Beck's program that hawks gold. Almost every AM radio channel in my area has right wingers on 24 hours a day. And they all have gold selling companies, like Goldline, as their sponsors. I've also noticed Goldline on more liberal sites, but you don't hear the host as part of the ads, as they are in every radio program.

Btw, when the country collapses and currency is worthless is gold somehow edible? Even gold wouldn't be worth a dime because in a major depression people will be wanting food and water, not a gold coin.

7. i like how on local radio they play both ads in the same commercial break:
Ad #1:
"BUY BUY BUY GOLD!! More stable than worthless paper money and is the only thing that will keep you safe in times of economic instability and panic!! Invest now or lose everything!!"

Ad #2:
"SELL SELL SELL US YOUR OLD, BROKEN WORTHLESS GOLDEN JEWELRY! It's just been wasting away for years in your grandmother's attic, and we promise TOP dollar (at great personal cost to us) for the burden of taking it off your hands!!"
