1. Here's the list::
http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html

I wouldn't mind our tax money going to them if they were in need and did all they could on their own but they refuse to raise taxes to pay for what they need. New Yorkers are in need and our budget is broke right now. No aid for us though.

2. Two that make the least sense
Colorado and Alabama. I'd figure that Colorado would be more like alot of the Western states. There are alot of federal lands out there and so you have alot of federal spending, and not much tax revenue to show for it. Colorado, with the Air Force Academy, is below 1 to 1. Alternately, what excuse does Alabama have to be so different from practically every state around it? Huntsville?

4. Same with Interstate Highways

You need a lot more highway in, say, Wyoming than you do in Delaware, but you don't have much of a taxpayer base.

3. A good companion article for this published in July Harper's about Arizona
Tells the story about what happens when you lower taxes to get votes and then don't have the sense to take care of your state. It's just a wasteland there.
Tea party in the Sonora:
For the future of G.O.P. governance, look to Arizona

Hope all can see it without log-in info

5. Well an anomaly of this is Arizona is actually a "donor" state. Mostly because
we have had do nothing GOP Senators who have never brought anything back to the state, and until recently GOP Congresspeople who did nothing for us.Harry mitchell fighting for Vets hospitals and highways In AZ D5 was one of the first times in years anything was done for AZ. The morons in control are very proud about turning doen federal funding and not getting anything done!
Brewer the genius even tried to turn down federal funding for assitence with the recession but was finally forced to take it.
