Not sure if the moderators will let us get the facts out about the community center with a prayer room, but it could be a good opportunity to re-educate the freepers...

Topic: What do you think of the Ground Zero Mosque project?
http://www.foxnews.com/community/liveevent/

Update: still waiting for mine to appear but some supportive comments are getting through.

A few examples...

Comment From TrueAmerican
Mosque should be good and it should work well for all the law abiding Muslim-Americans working in Manhattan

Comment From cfb
You DO know that there's a Muslim Center already within walking distance of the WTC site, right? All this is is a Community Center

Comment From Mr. Carpainter
You guys are acting like it's being built ON ground zero. It isn't. It's like one or two blocks away.

Update 2: This is a really good one which got through...

Comment From Tim Taylor
Here is my response to the sensitivity issue: You should not be sensitive to it because all Muslims did not attack. There is not vast Muslim conspiracy that organizes these things. Now, if the Taliban tried to build a Taliban center, I would understand your outrage; but you are generalizing all Muslims here and frankly coming off as xenophobic and racist.

2. Strangely, a few comments supporting it are getting through

But as you suggest, the overwhelming majority are spewing hate about it, unsurprisingly.

That poll needs some DU love, too.

3. It's a hopeless cause.

Try raising facts - they don't get through.

The poll is a dead duck. Comments are being approved "manually". And all about the vote that clears the way for the demolition of a building that "could be" a site for a future mosque.
