Michelle Duggar: I would have another child :O
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38526037/ns/today-today_people/?gt1=43001

She should experience a little life WITHOUT being pregnant, I think she has forgotten what it's like :)

I think she would really be putting her health in jeopardy, she probably needs to be thinking about stopping now.

basically states that women are little more than glorified baby breeding machines.

21. That's it. It's her right. But we can still call it stupid.
And it shows no respect for health of the resulting baby -- nor for that child in general.

People are different and choose to live their lives in different ways. Get over it.

39. I think most of us prefer to raise our own children, as opposed to dumping the responsibilities onto
our older children. All while putting their lives on national television.

43. People can live their lives any way they want
up to the point that they start causing harm to other human beings.

Going through this:

nearly dying and leaving your other 18 kids without a mother, and then immediately turning around and signing up for another go round where the odds are even worse *is* causing harm. They still have no idea about the scope of long-term health problems that their last 25 week preemie with have.

"About one third of babies born very early, at 23 to 25 weeks, can develop lasting neurologic problems, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, or seizures. Mild cerebral palsy, vision problems or slight developmental delays affect about another third of these babies. Severe problems include blindness, deafness, mental retardation, inability to walk without assistance, vision problems, abnormal growth of blood vessels, and slow growth."

Maybe they should get a handle on this first before rushing into another round of preeclampsia/preemie hell.

5. She is putting the future child's health in danger too.
I am a type 1 diabetic. I had two children before I was officially diagnosed as a diabetic. I chose not to have any more kids for this very reason. Idiot.

22. But the critical verb is that you 'chose.' Yes, it does put a child's health at risk ...
but before that child exists. And any attempt at others, especially governments, to stop it plays in to the RW attack on women's rights. They not only want to outlaw abortion (and often contraception) but also to micromanage a pregnant woman's actions to keep her from 'endangering' the fetus.

44. Nobody here is suggesting legislation to stop her.
But we are still free to think she's a dangerous idiot.

I don't care if right-wingers think I'm a whore headed straight for hell if I have an abortion. I draw the line when they try to codify that in law.

And I think it's appropriate to draw the same line here.

12. I wonder if one can become emotionally addicted to pregnancy?
I wish I didn't feel so judgmental every time I think of her but she is one of those people, like Palin for instance, that really need to be educated. For her I'd start with overpopulating the planet and spreading a gene pool that appear to be full of selfishness and ignorance.

Crap, I'm bad, and I know it...

Only I don't want to stop judging her actions. People like this need to be discussed critically and I refuse to feel bad about being disgusted with everything she stands for.

I hope I live long enough for one of her many kids to turn on the family and write a tell all book. My guess is that with these personality parents, all might not be great in paradise.

20. She makes me sick.
“When we look at Josie — we were just talking about it this morning — and I thought, even knowing that we went through the challenge that we did, we would do it again,” the supermom told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Tuesday from the family home in Springdale, Ark.

Gee, that's mighty big of you, Michelle. A baby born as premature as Josie is very likely to have lifelong problems, as are any future kids now, too. I'm glad you have no problem possibly sentencing your next kid to more of the same so please, go ahead and have more. It's all about you and JimBob, right? Ass.

28. And, who paid the bill for "Josie"?
I can't even imagine any insurance company that would cover them. I know they make money from the "show", but neonatal care is very pricey.

If they paid out-of-pocket, that and her ongoing care is going to bankrupt them once the show ends..

I am another one that wants to throw something at the television every time I see them on. Their lifestyle is sickening to me because it is obvious that the women are taught to be (and expected to be) submissive. When we talk about "choice", what if one of the older girls, all attractive young ladies, wanted to, say, work in the modeling field? Think she would have a choice to do something like that without risking the disdain of Mom and Dad Duggar?

No, she wouldn't, because it wouldn't be considered "modest".

45. She and Jim Bob ought to figure out God was giving them a message
with the last baby. ENOUGH!

IMHO getting pregnant again is selfish on both their parts. Think of the 19 kids you have now to raise and how not having a mother would impact them!

But it's her choice. But no sympathy from me if something happens to her or the baby if she does it again.
