Bristol Palin Breaks Off Engagement to Levi Johnston

NEW YORK (CBS) Just weeks after Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston announced they were engaged again, Palin is now saying they're calling it quits.

"It's over. I broke up with him," she told People magazine on Tuesday of her second try at an engagement to the father of her 19-month-old son, Tripp.

In a phone interview that the magazine described as "emotional," the daughter of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin said that her relationship with Johnston soured on July 14 - the same day they announced their engagement to the world with a magazine story and photo shoot.

Palin said that Johnston told her that evening that he may have fathered a child with another teenage girl. She did not name the woman in the interview, but a former girlfriend of Johnston's who is pregnant has denied he's the father of her unborn child.
