Ex-employee accuses billionaire Jeff Greene of illegal boat trip to Cuba
http://www.justnews.com/news/24502389/detail.html

'Billionaire Jeff Greene, the leading Democratic candidate in the race for U.S. Senate, has been confronted with accusations that he took his yacht on an illegal trip to Cuba.
Greene had one answer on Monday and a different version Tuesday. Now, Local 10 has spoken with someone who was on the boat who said Greene is lying.
The question was raised during a debate Monday night.
"Didn't you just take your yacht down to Cuba recently, or is that not true?" Greene was asked.
"No, the yacht went to Cuba," Greene said.
"Oh, the yacht went to Cuba but you didn't?" Greene was asked.
"No," Greene said.
On Tuesday, Greene had a different response.
"As it turns out, there was a Jewish mission that I knew about going on. I had a chance to go visit some of the Jewish synagogues in the community in Cuba," Greene said.
It is a touchy subject because it is illegal for Americans with no family in Cuba to visit the island. During Monday night's debate, Greene was clearly rattled when asked about the alleged 2007 visit to the communist island aboard his mega-yacht, the "Summer Wind." Greene denied that he visited Cuba on what his opponent, U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, called a "party trip."

'But in an interview with Local 10, Billy Blackwell, who was working on Greene's yacht at the time, said there was no mechanical failure and that the trip to Cuba was a vacation.
"I knew everything that was going on on the boat," Blackwell said. "We left from Key West, went to Cuba, and they partied all night. One girl actually threw up all over the side of the boat."
Blackwell told Local 10 on the phone Tuesday afternoon that Greene and his girlfriend spent three or four days touring and shopping on the island.
"Well, they came back with bags and me and the deckhand had to help them bring the bags onboard. Jeff Greene actually had a box of Cuban cigars," Blackwell said.
"If Jeff Greene says there was a mechanical problem that caused the boat to stop in Cuba, is he lying?" Local 10's Roger Lohse asked.
"Yes, he is," Blackwell said.
Blackwell did not want to show his face on camera because he said the yachting industry is a tight-knit community and he did not want to hurt his career.'

1. This guy running in Florida just keeps going on TV and lying.
And he still says he can't remember who he voted for, Reagan/Carter. That's just absurd.

He creates jobs, but then does not follow the law while employing people. I hope Florida gets out and sends this guy back to his Morrocan love den!

3. He's a billionaire who made his money off mortgage credit default swaps!
Now he wants a US senate seat. His campaign has been a disaster, and now he's caught lying about being on his "yacht" during an illegal trip to Cuba. Mike Tyson was his best man! He gave Heidi Fleiss a place to stay when she got out of jail. And he went to St. Barts for New Years Eve with Lindsay Lohan on board. It never stops with him....and he's spending millions now running as a dem out of Florida. He ran as a repub in Calif. in the eighties. He just turned dem....of course.

5. This is a question for anyone who sees this link.
Does anyone have contact information for Meek? I'm looking for someone who might be working on their campaign.
