1. Since you started a northern lights thread,
could you rename it to something like *** Official Solar Storm Event Thread ***? That way, if some of our friends in the northern latitudes can see and maybe snap pics they can post them in this thread.

5. Howdy =) I used to live in Wyoming west of thw Wyoming Range and I
one night I went out to look at the stars and lo and behold there they were, tall curtains of green and red undulating light. I was completely surprised as I was not aware auroras would be visible that night. It was the only time I saw them in the time I lived there. They were beautiful.
