I'd like to see the results of the studies conducted by .gov/NOAA that
led them to develop the pie chart they presented in today's WH press briefing.

Does anyone know if that is available?

4. That was the report that was generated from the studies that were
supposedly conducted. I want the data, the complete studies that led to that report, not the report itself.

I want the empirical data that is the basis of that report.

5. I have no idea where the data is - I just went there to see the graph
again, I couldn't see it clearly during the presser on TV.

Is the data even public?

6. Sigh... Does ANYONE AT ALL know where I can find the scientific
data that was used to generate the report that is currently at NOAA's website and for the PIE CHART that was just presented in today's WH press briefing?

I know where the REPORT is. I want the DATA that was used to compile the report.

ANYONE?

8. This data should include water samples from various depths.
Toxicity levels. pH levels. Etc.

You know, raw empirical data?

Does anyone know where I can get this data?

9. Or should I just take it on faith that this report is
accurately based on empirical data gathered by a comprehensive scientific examination and assessment of all aspects of this disaster?

10. I'm still waiting for autopsy results from early May
from the six dolphins that washed up. Results back then were due in two weeks...
Good luck...

11. But in order to present the report that was presented today at the WH briefing,
they had to have already had the data from which to generate the report.

Which is strange, considering they didn't know what was going on just a few days ago.

13. Correct.
I was just watching Dylan R's show and he was saying pretty much the same thing. I wonder if they are depending on BP's "good word" for their info?

14. Depending on BP's 'good word' is not good enough. I want the scientific
data that was used to generate the report so that it can be examined by interested third parties.

And I am amazed at the sudden lack of interest here. Oh well. As the media goes, so goes DU I suppose.

12. I just talked to NOAA's Office of Communications and asked where
I could access the RAW data that was used to generate the report that was presented to the press today at the WH press briefing.

I was directed to this PDF:

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010/PDFs/DeepwaterHorizonOilBudget20100801.pdf

This is what I was directed to in response to my query. THIS is their RAW data upon which today's report by Lubchenko was generated? Are you kidding me?

Again I will ask, does anyone know where I can find the data that was used to generate this report?

15. Oh no...Ignore this if you want but I'm not letting this fall into oblivion. My whole point
for this thread to find the data that this report was based on.

Does it exist? Is it available? If not, why was it not released with the report so that it could be analyzed by third-party interests?

19. Not sure if you can get the info you are looking for, but
at the very bottom of that report you were sent to when you spoke to them has an email address for the person who generated the report.

sbristol@usgs.gov

It also says to see "end notes section of report for reference material". So...there must be a report somewhere.

I'll keep looking.
