An Appeal to the Democrats in Congress...
.

First of all, do not believe that folks are not watching. They are.

Second of all, do not make any decisions that agree with the Republicans, in hopes that it will help you in the next election. It won't.

Thirdly, do not believe the propaganda of the Republicans as if they know what they are talking about. They don't.

It is time to stand up for what Democrats believe in. We believe in helping the common working man. We believe in helping the most vulnerable in our society. We believe that we are all in this boat together. We do not believe it is wise to let a small, self-interested, wealthy minority take over the boat and take our entire country in the wrong direction.

Sometimes we have to stand up for what we believe in - our principles. Those are our guiding stars that keep us true to ourselves and our fellow man. We believe we have a duty to make this a better world for all people to live. We do not support massive accumulations of wealth which create massive economic inequalities. That is the path to slavery.

Sometimes we must draw a line. And we must be willing to fight when that line is crossed. We will not permit these inequalities to continue to drag our country down. Enough is enough.

Remember when John Boehner stood up during the healthcare battle and screamed, "Not just no, but hell no!"? So much passion in misguided ideology. They have passion but for the wrong reasons. Do we really need to note those reasons? When they support insurance companies over the health of the rest of America? When they defend taxcuts for the rich, even though they know it is bad for the rest of the nation? Only a fool would believe that if we give more money to the already wealthy, they will take that money and create jobs. That is not the reality. There is no deception as true and sincere as self-deception.

4. The biggest hurdle for Democrats
is not what we believe, but how to do what we believe.
