I wish we could see how many heads exploded today
especially what our little miss half-gov did when she heard the news. Even stranger, I have a little--not a lot!--respect for Ted Olson now.

It is that the Judge tore apart the entire argument put forth about the inferiority of the gay crowd vs the straight crowd.

Apparently, he was not impressed that you could find such statements on the "internet."

And he fails to accept that something said by the Wingnut crowd on a blog somewhere is therefore FACT.

This may be very hard for the Wingnut crowd to fathom. Many of them are rabid Church goers, and they have little understanding of bonafide logic.

These people use these strange arguments to try and persuade others of what to believe.

"You must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior."

<me> "Why?"

"Because it says so in the Bible."

<me> "So how does that make following Jesus a fact that I need to follow."

"Because Jesus says you must read the Bible!"

You cannot even win the argument with them by pointing out that the Bible was written years after Jesus was no longer available to read the Bible. So he certainly never insisted that anyone had to read the Bible.

2. I started looking at Ted Olson differently back in February,
When he and David Boies appeared on Bill Moyers Journal. I never thought I'd say it, either, but I was favorably impressed... :wow:
