Democrats will cave on the Bush tax cuts and extend them
The campaign to extend these cuts has begun...Democrats will use the recovery for an excuse and lame Duck Evan Bayh is leading the way with the Republican lite talking points..The no back bone Democrats will not allow them to expire.
Just like the so called health care reform and real banking reform Democrats will once again give the Repukes their way.

23. It would be a repudiation of common sense! The neighborhoods along Chicago's "gold coast" and North
Shore are prospering, with "high-end" stores seeing increased sales. Every other Chicago area neighborhood, not so much!

7. It would be wiser to let the whole thing expire than to attempt an exclusion.
If Dems try to let them expire for only the top 2%, they face tremendous opposition and derailment. It is better to just let the intact cuts expire without tampering.

10. I have been thinking the same
their major contributors would benefit, they would personally benefit, their families would benefit.

I think they are simply trying to figure out how to do it and stop the bleeding quickly.

17. If we had real leadership in the Senate and real Democrats that
would stand up against corporate interests then of course the rich would be paying their fair share..But their reasoning being is that Small Business' will suffer and we will lose jobs..A lame excuse but if it is used often enough some critics may change their mind.
But..the Democrats caved on every other major issue so why not these tax cuts...Yes it will be corporate interests winning another one.
My sources: The track record of the Democratic leadership.
I have voted for Democrats all my voting life and with what I am witnessing with the corporate take over of our Democracy, I have never been so disappointed with Democrats that are suppose to be serving our best interests....

13. I sincerely hope you are wrong... don't they need 60 in the Senate to do this?
I find it hard to believe they can get that.

them expire. So maybe most of the Democrats are going to stay IN THEIR SENSES.

26. I wouldn't get too worked up over this.
They don't have to lift a finger for them to expire, so I think it's something they can accomplish.
