the units are milligrams per cubic meter of seawater

dissolved oxygen (millgrams per liter) is the "purple" purple line - anything below 2 mg/L is hypoxic

salinity "green line" - salt concentration in PSU "practicle salinity units" (ye olde parts per thousand)

temperature "black line" is in degrees celcius

pressure on the y-axis is depth from 0 at the surface to 1600 meters deep
