2. Isn't Beloit where Feingold taught?
A little surprised that Liberty didn't make the conservative top 20.

Did they do a name change or something?

14. I was surprised, too, but Liberty isn't accredited, so that could be why.
it's not a real college, so maybe not available for inclusion in this list.

Same with Oral Roberts U and those other criminal institutions.

7. Or military academies?
How many of them are doing it for the free tuition? If it weren't free, would you see as many gravitating to military service?

One wonders.

4. Where are Liberty U. and the rest of the indoctrination institutions? And notice that
the Ivies are not the hotbed of radicalism the anti-education baggers would have you believe.

Also scary (though not unexpected) is the fact that our military is being led by the cons at the academies. Onward Christist Soldiers, indeed.

6. I think it's harder for the big universities because of the large number and diversity of students..

Same with the University of Michigan. It seems most colleges on these lists are small, and tend to attract largely like-minded students.

8. Texas A&M is a really large enrollment that
had not overcome the personality it had as a 2000 student, all male, public military academy when I got my PhD there in the mid 80's.

I sort of doubt that it has 'mature' since then.

9. They forgot the University of California at Berkeley

Anybody who's ever been to it or even visited can tell you how diverse it is on all levels.

11. But like the University of Michigan, it's so large and diverse......
...... that it probably has a decent number of conservative students, despite the overall bent being liberal, and that probably affects its ranking by the Princeton criteria, especially when compared to a small liberal arts college with 1,000 like-minded students.
They need a "Most Liberal Large University" category.

13. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that
It's bad enough when people from GMU end up on C-SPAN
