Gay Marriage Foes Want to Impeach Judge Who Overturned Prop 8
Just like Lawyer David Boies warned, Judge Vaughn Walker's ruling to overturn Prop 8 would have critics attacking everything but what's in his 138-page decision. Today the American Family Association called for its members to work towards impeaching Federal District Court Judge Vaughn Walker.

"Since marriage policy is not established anywhere in the federal Constitution, defining marriage, according to the 10th Amendment, is an issue reserved for the states. Judge Walker never should have accepted this case in the first place," Tim Wildmon, President of the AFA, wrote in an e-mail to members today. "In addition, Judge Walker is an open homosexual, and should have recused himself from this case due to his obvious conflict of interest."

But Walker's sexual orientation was never a big issue when he was randomly selected to preside over the case. "It doesn't seem to be an issue for anybody, including the supporters of Proposition 8, because when it was announced that Judge Walker was the judge who'd been assigned this case, they did not ask that he be recused from it," said NPR's Karen Grigsby Bates."They didn't think that he'd have a conflict in overseeing it. And that's pretty interesting."

Walker was appointed to the court by George H. W. Bush.

9. I am just sooooo tired of these F'en creepy people trying to persecute everyone. They are
so hateful and evil... and disgusting homophobes. It's disgusting anyone trying to have a healthy family would even listen to anything these fools have to say. In my book they are from the depths of hell.

3. Not happening
Like we all know, sexuality is like assholes, everyone has one, and no two are quite the same.

The judge did not base his findings and conclusions from a "gay sexuality perspective." He based them on legal art and precedent, much of which was previously written by Justice Kennedy. We know the SCOTUS wingnut judges will vote against gay marriage, and Kennedy will be the swing.

6. I guess that means in their minds
that from now on cases in court should be tryed by a judge that has a sexual orientation opposite everyone else's in court? How's that going to work?

8. Of course the AFA is upset

after all, any heterosupremacist will tell you that a discussion, a legal case, a policy decision concerning LGBT citizens can only be determined by. . .well, heterosupremacists.

After all, that's why God gave them a golden peepee.

10. As has been noted before, any straight married judges on appeals courts ...
should be asked to recuse themselves from the appeals of this case.

;-)
