Maybe I'm a little behind the curve, but it just dawned on me why the US Gov hates Wikileaks
release of the documents.

It removes the US Governments "plausible deniability" for any circumstance that occurred under their watch and or execution during that time period.

This, to me, is why they are actually pissed.

1. There are some valid complaints, though -- like using full names of people. nt

2. Of course, what's been whispered for years is now confirmed
and it makes the loony left look remarkably sane while men who have built wealth and power keeping an insane occupation going have been embarrassed.

Nothing will ever convince that ignorant and ornery 26%, so support for their deadly farce will never be withdrawn completely. However, it's hard to keep a profitable slaughterhouse going when a majority of the population disapproves, and that's about to happen.

Wikileaks can take partial credit when it does.

4. I still don't see the point in asking for the documents back
How many thousands of times were they downloaded? Removing the originals from the site won't take them away, as a matter of fact, with the open internet folks, it'll probably just propagate more and more, the more they try to stop it.

5. Plausible deniability
Is the bullies best tactic. America is a bullies paradise.

Fuck the military industrial religion capitalist asshole abuser complex.
The corrupted abusers of power deserve no hiding places for "secrets".Let them scramble to cover their evil asses too dirty and huge to hide anymore..as they sit upon this world and feed upon the stupid, scared and desperate.
A fish rots from the top down, let it all be seen in the daylight. Then,We gets to be judge for once.

Exposing crimes in high places is the first step in ending kakistocracy.

6. These are people who have devoted their whole lives to
exerting hegemonic control everywhere possible.

They hate the challenge to their dominance.
