Sarah Palin endorses 'mama grizzly' CeCe Heil to take on Jim Cooper


Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin endorsed CeCe Heil in the Republican primary race to oppose U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper, calling the Nashville entertainment lawyer a "tough mama grizzly."


In an online posting Thursday morning, Palin said Heil, one of 11 Republicans running to represent the 5th Congressional District, has "the experience, passion, and integrity to restore some common sense to Washington."

Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, did not respond to a message left Thursday seeking further comment. The phrase "mama grizzly" was the subject of a video released late last month describing conservative women whom SarahPAC backs.
