DU friends living in Arizona: Hire people with Mexican surnames, please

This horrible mess over 1070 is forcing really good people into poverty.

Arizona's attempt to "weed out" illegal aliens, although it sounds good, is going to wreak havok on hard working good people, and I just want to beg my fellow Arizona citizens to rethink whether or not legislation against so-called illegal aliens is:

Kind?
Sensible?
Logical?
Helpful?
Self-Defeating?

People who even have Mexican or Hispanic sounding surnames are having an impossible time getting work, and this is very unfair.

I respect the hell out of Democratic Underground and have been here (off and on) since 2003, and I am sorry, sometimes I get so depressed. But I always appreciate what you all have to say.

last names be damnned....hire the best american citizen you can for the position you have open.
