New poll: Meek making a comeback.. leads Greene 33%-29%..
In the Democratic primary for Senate, Rep. Kendrick Meek -- one of only a few viable African-American candidates running statewide this election cycle -- leads billionaire businessman Jeff Greene 33% to 29%.

Still a huge number of undecideds with just a couple of weeks to go. Weird.

3. Plus Greene's toxic background isnt helping him.
I think many were not aware how much of a scoundrel he was.

2. I already voted for Meek
with a mail in ballot.
I only wish I could turn off all the phone calls from the pols as primary day approaches. It is worse than ever, and they exempted themsselves from the do not call list.

5. And yet, we have a multitude of DUers who support Crist.
Crist, a longtime Republican, has the support of many Democrats, for reasons that are beyond my abilities to comprehend. Crist is opposed to equal marriage rights and even adoption for GLBT couples. He is a Republican who switched to become an Independent when it became clear that he could not win the Republican primary. He did not become a Democrat. He will never become a Democrat.

And, here, we have a qualified Democrat in Meek. He doesn't even get mentioned as a viable candidate, and hordes of Democrats refuse to vote for him. Apparently, they'd rather have a homophobic Independent/Republican as Florida's next Senator.

He will do, in the Senate what all Republicans do: Obstruct every progressive measure and judicial nomination that comes up for consideration. He is a Republican. That's what Republicans do.

There's still time, folks. Support the Democrat in this race, not some fake Republican who can't get elected by his own party. Please.

7. I would suggest focusing on the Dem primary first..
because we certainly do not want Jeff Greene as the nominee. How dreadful would that be.

15. not saying you did, Just pointing out ..as per your post about Crist.

pots and kettles meeting in the middle.

Florida is a closed Primary state..Democrats get a ballot with only Democrats on them.

Crist is not in the equation for the Primary for Democrats or republicans.

But if we are going to look at Crist, we damn well better look at Greene.

I lived in Calif when he ran in the Valley there..that is all I will say.he is on my democratic ballot.

14. Yeah
There are some, right here on DU, that are kissing Crist's ass. And offering a spot for the rest of us to kiss.

I look forward to the day those ass kissers get their due.

16. some people who ACTUALLY LIVE IN FLA ..are looking at reality.
Edited on Sat Aug-07-10 12:11 PM by flyarm
And some people of both parties ACTUALLY LIKE OUR GOVERNOR!

After all he is OUR GOVERNOR! And got votes from Both parties and indy's to be our Governor.

He is not in the equation in the Primary.

Florida is a closed state in the primary.

People do still have the right to discuss our Governors don't we?

My vote is already been mailed ..in my closed Primary state..

I had a choice of two candidates.

Again i will say it..Look at Greene.

I will not break DU rules.

But I believe you are arguing with someone with a smiliar view.

But don't piss me off..I am not in the mood for anyone from another state telling me anything.

I will vote my conscience for the best for MY STATE! And my Nation!

And I know many in my state getting very pissed off..by attitudes of people from other states, which have no say in our vote!

Be careful..what you may think you are doing helping..you are not.

I can not make myself clearer with the rules here!
End of discussion on my part!
