Have the names of any informants actually been released by Wikileaks?
Edited on Sat Aug-07-10 08:11 PM by LittleBlue
Has anyone actually examined the documents released to see if Wikileaks released any critical information? Any link to an analysis?

Cannot find any evidence that an examination has occurred, just government claims that informants are being exposed. Wikileaks claims 15000 sensitive documents were withheld, that they actually did carefully examine them. Who to believe?

Anyone have links that can shed some light on this?

1. Yes, but there are millions of people in Afghanistan named Mohamed. Good luck finding him.

Actually, they say that no, they have not.

But they also say that if they did, it would be accidental, and it would be the Pentagon's fault for putting the names of informants in documents at such a low level of classification that they could be leaked so easily.

2. Yeah, that's what I've read. The media seem uninterested in finding the truth.
How hard would it be to examine a sample of these documents to see if names had censored? Or if there were any at all?

All the media just print whatever they're told.

3. Were the actual names of Valerie Plame's contacts released?

5. The CIA censored the word "ego" from Valerie Plame's book.
She said that she went somewhere to stroke an informant's (redacted).

The word they redacted was "ego."

Fuck them and their "secrets."

6. OMG, I'd LOVE to see someone provide Plame info to Wikileaks
Can you imagine how explosive that would be?
